Big day at Chimney Park (January 2017)

Big day at Chimney Park (January 2017)

One hour. 15 people. 194 pounds. Nuff said? Not quite.

Found were 4 vinyl adirondack chairs, poor condition, 1 smart phone, 1 DVD player, the base of a porcelain throne, and a large sign. One blue brassier, gently used, one boot, boxer shorts, plaid, green hoodie and socks.

When it was all over, everyone was bathed in sweat and glowing with righteousness.

Old Spanish Trail 100-year Event

The Old Spanish Trail Centennial Celebration Association (OST100) has created a reenactment of the 1916 Pensacola, Florida original Old Spanish Trail Association auto highway planning conference December 1-3. All the workshops, the reception, and events are FREE. You must register by November 10 so the planners will know how much food to provide. Attend the Friday symposium at the Old Christ Church, peruse exhibits at the Commerce Museum, enjoy a reception at the Lee House, participate in walking tours of the historic district and drive the route to Milton. Among the symposium speakers is our own Brian Rucker.

Without all of you this never would have come about.  12 folks turned out and 40 pounds of trash collected.  I would call it a success for the 1st pickin’s.  Bay Bluffs is looking its best in a long time.

Hopefully Council President Andy Terhaar will keep his commitment to come and my invite to Lily to bring Troy Moon will come through.  (Lily is Troy’s dog)
